We’re incredibly proud to announce that Martin Industries Group has been shortlisted as one of just eight finalists for Innovation of the Year at the South West Business of the Year Awards 2026.
The recognition is for our AirX Pro indoor air protection technology, marking another exciting milestone for a British engineering business where innovation has been at the heart of what we do for more than 22 years.
A different approach to indoor air quality
AirX Pro was developed with a different approach to indoor air protection. Alongside advanced filtration, its powerful negative-ion technology is designed to act within the occupied airspace itself.
The latest generation of AirX Pro produces up to 500 million negative ions every second, combined with intelligent control technology designed to respond automatically to changing indoor air-quality conditions.
More than 35,000 AirX Pro systems have now been deployed across the UK, demonstrating the growing demand for innovative indoor air quality solutions.
Real-world impact
AirX Pro has already been recognised with Best IAQ Innovation of the Year at the National ACR & Heat Pump Awards in both 2024 and 2025.
Following an initial evaluation, Bupa Dental Care invested more than £1 million in AirX Pro, deploying the technology across its dental practices throughout the UK.
The technology has also been introduced into educational settings. At Barlborough Primary School, the Headteacher reported a 35% reduction in staff and student sickness following the introduction of AirX Pro.
Looking to the future
Our work with AirX Pro is continuing to progress, including collaboration with Professor Lawrence Lovat and University College London.
Plans are progressing for an independent evaluation within an NHS hospital, with approximately 60–80 AirX Pro systems proposed for installation behind patient beds. The project would provide an opportunity to independently evaluate the technology in a real-world healthcare environment.
